Thanksgiving Re-Cap

So a few week ago it was Thanksgiving.  Also known as my favorite holiday.  A lot of people say this glorious day is over-rated.  Well I tell you those people have no souls.  How can a day of relaxing, delicious and copious amounts of food and booze, combined with football, video games, and family be anything but epic.  I mean for gods sake just look at my dog right there, being all cute and awesome.  I love Lucky!!

So anyway, Thanksgiving rocks.  This year my mom and I went to my aunts house and the family put on quite the show.  The food was delicious, and as you can see from the picture there was plenty of different dishes.  In the top right I have some stuffing, which is possibly my favorite Thanksgiving dish, moving clockwise the Turkey, a nice roll, possibly the most interesting dish a sort of carrot and cheese dish that was stunning, some potatoes smothered in butter, corn and sweet po'taters.  I mean this was one the best spreads of Thanksgiving food I have had in a long time.

Naturally after dinner, I had to indulge myself with some of my moms famous and delicious Apple Pie.  I challenge anyone to say they have had better apple pie, I can almost guarantee it's a lie.  My mom easily makes the best apple pie, the apples are mushy, but hold texture, the crust is ridiculous, the entire pie literally melts in your mouth.  Seriously it's orgasmic. I have and can easily eat an entire pie in one sitting and it's so good I don't even feel bad about.

For the record, the Patriots WON, I played a ton of video games, and slept. Another successful and glorious Thanksgiving.

Bertucci's Salad

Another trip to one of my favorite eateries.  Bertucci's!!  This time, I opted for something different than the Shrimp Rossini.  Instead, I went with a custom salad.  This bad boy isn't even on the menu anymore, but I had it once a year or so ago and ever since it's the only salad I'll get.  It's your typical Italian salad, with greens and mozzarella balls (which are the cornerstone of the meal) and some grilled chicken.  They also put a outrageously delicious balsamic dressing on it.  Anyway, I am usually not a fan of salads but this one I love.  Next time i'll make sure to take note of it's name, but typically I order like this "Oh you guys used to have this salad that had grilled chicken and mozzarella and a balsamic dressing..." at the point the waitress almost always stops me and knows exactly what I mean....Cool story right?  Well if you want to try this salad you can just ask for it like this and they might know what you mean!

Enjoy. (http://www.bertuccis.com)

Boston - Legal Harborside

Well this is awkward.  I have no recollection of what I ordered a few MONTHS ago at Legal Harbor-side   Actually it was Halloween night, or at least very near to Halloween night and I was out with Becca and the old man.  He took us to Legal Harbor-side and we ate well.My only real memory of this meal is that it was quite delicious.  I think what we have up top is some sort of Bruschetta - Almost sure it's the Apple, Onions and Bacon Bruschetta.  That would make sense because Becca loves bacon.

Here we have my main course.  It was the special of the night so there's no way I can remember exactly what it was.  I believe it may have been a panko crusted tuna or something of that nature.  Either way, it was on a bed of rice and sweet potatoes with brussel sprouts.

Finally, this was my dad's meal.  Pretty obviously Sauteed Mussels.  No doubt delicious.

Philips Lunch Again.

Here's a lunch from Philips that was fairly good.  Basically it was a meat sub, that had sausage, onions, shrooms and some other mystery meat in it.  The roll was kind of absurd though, it was WAY to big for the amount of food inside it.  In-fact I actually ripped the sub in half, and put all the filling on one side and just ate that.  Sweet Potato Fries on the side, and the cupcake was supplied by an outside company selling them on behalf of breast cancer so I felt good buying and eating it. It was actually ridiculously good, vanilla on vanilla gourmet cupcake.

Au Bon Pain Napa Chicken with Avocado

Whoa! I bet you're wondering why I haven't blogged it up in a couple weeks?  No you're not wondering... Fine.

Anyway what you see here is a ABP Napa Chicken with Avocado creation.  ABP is pretty solid when it comes to delivering reliably good wraps.  This one was no different.  As usual they use pretty fresh ingredients which included romaine lettuce and cucumber as well as chicken which was devoid of any fatty gross pieces which can instantly ruin a wrap.  The avocado itself MIGHT have been a little on the under-ripe side, but it didn't really detract from the overall experience.  My only regret, I forgot to ask them to use HOT CHICKEN, so I ended up with the cold strips which is never as good.  Take note, this is a fairly healthy option, I ordered it specifically because it was one of the lower calorie options on the menu!

Where are you, you spongy, yellow, delicious bastards?

Today marks an inauspicious day for the United States and dessert lovers  everywhere.  Hostess, an American staple of unhealthy snacks, and baked goods has gone out of business.  This of course begs the question, how on earth will humanity survive post nuclear Apocalypse without Twinkies?

Aware of what little time remained for what could be the last of the Twinkies and being eerily reminded of the wise words of Tallahassee from Zombieland (Zombieland Last Twinkie) I decided to "Nut up or Shutup" and head to my local grocer.  When I arrived, there was only 4 boxes left of the Los Submarinos and I snatched them all.  Along with the last bag of Hostess Powdered Donettes.  Now I'll be honest, I don't think I've ever had a Twinkie before, but the thought of never having an original Twinkie drove me to madness.  Therefore, shortly after I bought them, I opened up one of the individually wrapped cakes and devoured it.

Rule #32, Enjoy the Little Things, you never know when they'll be gone!

Seasonal Winter Beers as Described by Talladega Nights

Dear Lord Baby Jesus or as our brothers to the south call you, Jesus (pronounced Hey Suz), we thank you for Troegs Mad Elf Ale, Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, and the always delicious Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout.

Troegs Mad Elf clocks in at 11% alcohol by volume.    It's flavored with honey and cherries and has the color to match - it looks like honey that has been tinged red. It's much closer to an after dinner drink than it is a regular beer.  It's a bit pricey, but when you compare the alcohol by volume to normal beers, the pricing makes sense.  Plus it's delicious.  Putting down a 6 pack will get you hammered drunk, but having one in place of desert is always a good decision.

Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale is probably the best beer ever made.  It's an IPA that uses hops that somehow taste like Christmas.  Sierra Nevada says they are using the first hops of the growing season, but the flavor it produces is different from any other IPA I've ever had.  It tastes much more like a winter beer, which is strange since most IPAs produce a citrusy, summery flavor.  I'll be drinking this for the entire winter season and I really wish they would produce it year round.  Everyone should try this beer.

One last thing. (There are swears in this clip)

Peter's Pizza and Roast Beef

This is a real time post!  I had to run down to the Comcast in Wilmington today to pick up an HD Cable Box (upgrading from standard) for the new TV and low and behold right next door was Peters Pizza and Roast Beef in Wilmington right off of '93.  This was good news, because I was having a little nausea I think because I had not yet eaten or something.  Anyway, pretty standard Roast Beef place, little dingy on the inside as per usual but they did whip up a pretty solid sandwich   I ordered the Super Beef on an onion roll w/ cheese and sauce.  So as usual I was comparing to Harrison's Roast Beef, and while I don't think it was as good it wasn't to far off.  They use the same sauce, and onion rolls and the beef was good; however it was sort of clumpy so a few bites took most of the beef out of the bun.  Also interestingly, the bun was warm but the beef and cheese was cold?  I'd say if you're going to warm the bun (which I love) warm up the whole thing!!  On the side had a bag of BBQ chips, and washed it down with a water.  Overall a good stop, I'd hit it again if I was in the area. http://www.peterspizzaandroastbeef.com/

Sausage and Pasta Stir Fry

This was actually one of the very few meals I've had at work that I've really enjoyed.  First and foremost, they actually gave you a decent portion size, instead of the typical amount which is hardly enough to satiate an infant, never mind a strapping 25 year old MAN RAWR!
So this was a good start, the tray was burdened with food.  The dish itself actually turned our pretty solid too.  I mean it was Pasta, Red Peppers and Sausage sprinkled with a few other roasted vegies.  Can't exactly mess that up right? Suffice to say it was pretty enjoyable, and I sprinkled a little Parmesan cheese on top because I like cheese on everything.

Pan Thai...Serves Pad Thai

Here's another favorite of mine.  This time in Boston, on Westland Ave near the corner of Mass Ave.  Pan Thai!  It's your classic Thai restaurant  nothing fancy about it but they do make a mean Chicken or Shrimp Pad Thai. They have an awesome student menu (which I still use) and if you order from that with a student ID, you can get a bowl of soup as well.  Don't get the vegetable soup like I did go with the alternative, because the Vege soup is wicked bland.

Anyway, the main course here is Pad Thai.  What is nice is the portion size is pretty outrageous typically. They also cover it with peanut sauce so it's really flavorful.  Honestly, I know it's hard to go wrong with Pad Thai, but this place serves up the best dish in the area, and the food to cost ratio is highly favorable.

Only downside, service is either GREAT or REALLY bad, just depends on who you get and if they speak English.

Andover Bertucci's Shrimp Rossini

So every couple weeks my Mom and I go out to eat to talk about stuff and catch up on life. Typically, and by typically I mean always, we go to Bertucci's in downtown Andover.  I really like this place!  First of all, it has a great menu.  Pretty much you'll be happy with anything you decide on.  Secondly, when I eat here, at least I feel like it's somewhat healthy.  Finally, it's consistent.  The past few times I've opted for the Shrimp Rossini.  It's incredible, Parmesan cheese over shrimp and pasta in this fantastic semi spicy sauce.  Just writing about is has me salivating, yeah picture that one!  Anyway, I'm not doing this dish justice trust me, it's way more than just a few shrimps and pasta all the flavors compliment perfectly and the sauce.  The sauce!! It's so good.

Enjoy!

Boston Shawarma

Great little Shawarma/Falafel place across from the YMAC on Huntington right nearby where I live.  Stopped in for dinner a while ago and grabbed this Shawarma wrap.  Was really delicious, and will need to go again soon.  Try it out if you're ever in the area, you won't be disappointed. Place is called Boston Schwarma it's at 315 Huntington and they DO deliver.  http://bostonshawarma.net/

Barcrawl Wings and Pizza

These treats are from a recent bar crawl in Boston. I was  sufficiently hammered when I ordered this stuff, starting with the wings at a bar I don't remember and culminating with the Pizza, whilst solo at some random Pizza place.  The crawl for the record was epic, and as usual I was denied access to one bar for belligerence.  Classic Berman.  Anyway, the wings were as I remember, fairly good and relatively meaty for bar wings.  They weren't oppressively spicy either but had just enough kick that they opened my sinuses a bit.  I crushed them down while sitting by myself at the bar, a bit hazy.  Why was I by myself, because I wasn't paying attention and all my buddies had found a table and were sitting behind me.  In any event I sat next to some girl who looked terrified to have some drunk kid pounding wings so close to her, but she was nice enough to not say anything even as I rocked back and forth on the stool.

After a bit more time at this bar, I realized I was finished and just left.  Didn't say bye to anyone, just peaced out and went straight to the closest pizza joint.  Smashed down these slices, and cabbed it back to the apartment to go to sleep.  I assume the pizza was good, it's pizza hard to mess up.

Taco Bell and Pizza Sunday

Decided yesterday that I had waited long enough and was due to try out the vaunted Cantina Bowl from Taco Bell.  Basically I've seen so many ads touting the "Freshness" of this Taco Bell creation that I had to see and taste it for myself.  Now being a guru of the bowl from Chipotle my expectations were high.  They should not have been.  First of all, how fresh can it be when it took "Brandy" from T-Bell about 4 seconds to make it?  Seriously.... I'd rather you say "Ok Mr. dude at the drive through, our Cantina Bowl is fresh so it will take us a few minutes" and just go twiddle your fingers for a minute at least making it seem like your making it fresh.  Nope an incredible 4 seconds after ordering they plopped this bowl of joy onto my lap.  Alright, the rice was hard, the corn was browning, the lettuce was soggy, the tomatoes were flavorless, and the steak was...well the steak wasn't horrible.  The guacamole was a paste though, and sort of scary to swallow.

Suffice to say, Taco Bell is lying, this is not fresh.  Not even close.  HOWEVER, as far as Taco Bell goes it could of been worse I guess, but my advice is stick with the classics at T-Bell, leave freshness to places like Chipotle.

Oh here's some Papa Gino's Pizza I had over at RJ's while watching Football.. Yum.

Conor Larkin's

Went to Conor Larkins, which is Northeastern's little on-campus bar a week or so ago with RJ, pre-gaming for a 7 hour Pub Crawl.  Now 99% of the time I go with the Reuben here, but I was feeling adventurous and decided to try out the Tuna Melt sandwich instead. Listen, it was good.  It's a solid Tuna Melt.  Does it match up with the Reuben  No not even close.  Will I get it again?  Most likely not unless I need the healthier protein.  Fact is, it was very simple, delicious yes, but delicious in the way a home made Tuna Melt is delicious, nothing special about it.  As per usual the Sweet Potato Fries were wonderful though.  Also I love Conors because you can play Mario Cart on N64 there!  Wahooo!   Anyway, next time back to the Reuben for sure.

On a side note, a few days ago I tried this beer RJ gave me.  Really all I can say about it was it's pretty potent alcohol wise, and a lot thicker/hoppier(?) than my usual Miller Lites.

Chicken Caesar at Work

Remember that note to self in my last post? Stick with the classics?  Apparently that doesn't work either.  This was by far the worst Chicken Caesar wrap I've ever had.  Soggy, stuffed with the bad pieces of lettuce and like 5 tiny chewy pieces of chicken.  Maybe I should just stay away from the sandwich bar at work all together and stick with the hot meals.  They may be more expensive, but at least they are somewhat appetizing.

Argh!!!!

Pulled Pork at Work

Not to much to say about this Philips Food Court meal.  It smelled a lot better than it tasted.  Plus I thought the Pineapple on top would be bomb, but it was really under-ripe, flavorless and hard.  The Pork itself was pretty weak, and frankly they give you way to much it sogged out the bun in about 23 seconds.  Only redeeming quality of this meal was the sweet potato fries.  They actually do fries and taters pretty well here at the Philips food court.

Note to self, skip the pulled pork and stick with classics.

Sushi Man Date at Mootones

Feast your eyes on this spectacle of deliciousity. Yes, just created a new word, deal with it.  This feast of raw fish, rice, seaweed and battered vegetables is brought to you by Mootones of Andover. Place looks like a dump next to the train tracks on the outside, but it's pretty nice inside and the best Sushi in Andover (the only Sushi in Andover I think...) Hit the joint up with RJ on a man date last week, can't wait to do it it again brah!

We both decided on the same exact thing, obviously.  The L11 Lunch special includes a bowl of Miso Soup, 3 Pieces of Vegetable Tempura, 1 piece shrimp Tempura, 6 Spicy Tuna Rolls and 6 Spicy Salmon Rolls.  It's actually a considerable amount of food for $11.95.  My vegetables were a little under-cooked, but that was the only down-side to this meal.  The Sushi itself was awesome, much better than the last time I was here (about a year go this time as a matter-o-fact) the rice was sticky, the fish fresh, and the spiciness just right. I devoured the entire ensemble in about 13 minutes.  RJ says I eat to fast, but my reaosning is you never know when you're going to be attacked by zombies so when you have food put in front of you, best to eat it quickly so you don't miss your chance.

Being manly men and having gigantic appetites that can only be quenched after eating enough for multiple mere mortals we needed a bit more to top us off.  We agreed on another Maki roll, Salmon on top with a bit of crab-meat in the middle.  Honestly I forget what it was called; however, it was simple and good and got the job done.

Interestingly on the way out, the messed up our payment and tried to over-charge us.  Fortunately RJ used his math logic, and discovered the error.  Sneaky sneaky.  (http://www.mootone.com/)

Snack Time Feature

Just a little feature of a few snacks I've had in the last few weeks.

First off, up top we have Pretzel Bites from the mall up in Salem NH.  It's hard to walk past Pretzel Time (or whatever the new name is) without stopping, the aroma really gets to me.  Funny thing is, these things never taste as good as they smell.  Anyway, it's an automatic that you have to get them with honey mustard or you're just not doing it right.  Nutritional Value = 0, Comfort = 10.  At least I had a water right?

Next up, we have the always delicious, and ultimate regret creating Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich WITH M&M's.  I don't care how bad this thing is for you (and it's REALLY bad, this one had ~500 calories, 15g fat, 40 carbs) it tastes so damn good going down.  There really is nothing better than a cookie, stuffed with iced-cream.  Hmm, I'd really like to see an OREO Ice-Cream Cookie Sandwich now that I think of it, that might be better.

The only problem with these things, is they are actually relatively small, and despite being a mouthful of joy during consumption make you feel like total shit afterwards.  Oh well, the 30 seconds of mouth glory was worth the hours of regret and pity, right?

Next up, Sushi... from somewhere NOT called Symphony Sushi!!

Black Angus Roast Beef & Cheddar ABP

Another Roast Beef for you today.  This time from Au Bon Pain right down the street from the Panera I posted about yesterday as a matter 'o fact.  This one is called the Black Angus Roast Beef & Cheddar and weighs in at 520 calories.  I got it on a wheat bread, and is topped with Tomatoes, some onions, mesclun (which apparently is some sort of salad mix), and a mayo mustard sauce like substance.  Well it was very good, a little on the bready side because they didn't stuff it all too well with beef, and it was pretty messy because they used a lot of sauce but overall i'd actually rank it higher than the Panera beef in yesterdays post.  Why?  Well it was less greasy, it had more overall flavor (partially because of the enormous amount of sauce) and was a larger meal that was actually more healthy.  Plus it was warmed up without me having to ask.  (http://www.aubonpain.com/)

Free Panera Bread!

Here's a quickie before I leave work.  Hit up Panera on Huntington Ave with Becca the other day (thanks for paying!!) I was on a Protein binge all day, so decided on the most protein packed thing I could spy off the menu with my terrible eyesight.  At the last moment I realized it was incredibly calorie packed though so I changed to the half sandwich half soup combo thing.  Anyway it's a Asiago Roast Beef  sandwich on asiago cheese bread with some more melted cheese inside, as well as a bit of tomato and lettuce red onions and horseradish plus I got a side Brocoli Creme soup. It was really good, I recommend it but beware if you get the full size Sandwich it's like 800+ calories or something gross.  By getting the soup instead it comes out to around 520.  P.S. Ask them to melt the cheese on the beef, they don't do it unless you ask and who wants a piece of cold cheese on roast beef?  "Til tomorrow, stay hungry San Diego.....err Boston.  (www.panerabread.com)

Austin Tehas - Sunday Gotta Go

Final day in Austin.  Woke up relatively hung over from Friday and Saturday.  My body was not happy  in from all the delicious but highly unhealthy food and alcoholic beverages I had binged on over the past two days.  I really struggled in the car until we made it to our destination and had some food. Our destination was this little Irish Pub on Sixth Street called B.D Rileys, a full on Patriots bar, which was convenient because the Patriots were on.

We ordered some tall pints of Guinness, which was a treat because I haven't had one in a few years believe it or not.  Anyway the atmosphere was real good.  When we first got there is was over-run by Bengals fans (wow that must suck...) but it was still a great football feel and everyone was really into the game.  They have a bunch of T.V's inside so it was as good as watching Red-Zone.

The waitress was a bit annoyed that we were only having Guinness and kept asking if we wanted to order food.  To be honest I wasn't really hungry at all; but finally Levine ordered some wings.  I had like 3 of them, when I was done my hands were totally clean, no sauce on my face etc. etc.  When Levine was done his hands were covered in sauce, he had sauce on his face; it was gross.  He might as well had just stuck is face into the plate and ate that way lol.  I don't know what is about some people they are just terrible at wing eating.  It's like yo bro - use two fingers don't grab it with your whole fist.

Right well anyway, after the first half of the pats I had to head to the airport.

It was a great trip, Levine was a great host and I want to do it again next year if Levine is down.  Maybe we can get some more people to make the trek and enjoy a weekend partying.

Austin Tehas - Saturday post ACL

Hey,
So after Friday at the ACL Festival we opted on not going to the show Saturday in favor or just hanging our and tooling around the city of Austin.  Our first stop was the Omelettry, a little breakfast place 5 minutes away from where Levine lives.  Place was pretty old school diner"ish".  I got the Huevos Ranchero's and a side of Sausage.  Came with a healthy portion of taters and black beans.  I left nothing on the plate, it was delicious and the fried eggs cooked and flipped perfectly.  Would have liked a few Jalapenos on it though to be honest.

Next we hit a synthesizer store, Levine wanted to check out making some weird noises.  Our next Food/Drink stop was this little botique coffee shop called Jo's.  Totally hipster.  The people working behind the window looked like, well I don't know odd.  The claim to fame at this place is their Turbo Iced Coffee.  It was great, actually better than Dunks Iced Coffee and I love Dunks.  Almost tasted more like Coffee Ice-Cream.  Anyway, it was really good and the Turbo gave me the boost I needed to recover from the previous day.   (http://joscoffee.com/)

A bit later we went to a bar  I had a Lone Star and saw this dog ordering a few drinks too.  We hung out here for a while, talked to some interesting people and cranked some beers.

Even later, we went to this place called HopDoddy. It's a burger place, basically like a Fuddruckers but they actually put some effort into it.  They make all these specialty burgers and what you see below here is the "Diablo Burger"  Came with wicked hot Jalapeno's  onions, cheese, and Chipotle Sauce.  This was one of the best burgers I've ever had and it was MASSIVE.  I complimented it with that interesting looking Margarita with a Corona sticking  in it holy crap is was so boozey, barely finished it.  Also check out the shake I got.  Yea that's right, a full on Oreo Shake.  Super thick and real whole chucks of Oreo in it. I'm not sure how I finished everything but I did.  That's likely why I gained 5 pounds on the trip.  Oh well it was worth it!

Austin Tehas - Friday

So this past weekend I went down to good 'ol TEHAS.  Well actually since I went to Austin it's more like Wierdo Tehas.  Anyway, the purpose of the trip was to visit my pal Levine (Pictured left with the big nip showing) and attend Austin City Limits Music Festival.  Oh yah that's me in the yellow glasses, and blue cutoff by the way, I know I know total stud.

So Friday I arrived at around 11am, basically went straight to the fest and met up with Levine and a few other pals I know that happened to be there.  This festival was really surprising for the quality of food available.  I experienced for the first time Torchy's Taco's.  What you see in the bottom picture is called a "Trailer Park."  Basically it's fried chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese in a soft tortilla bun and some chipotle sauce.  I can't begin to tell you how awesome this thing tasted.  Easily the best TACO I've ever had.  To be totally honest, the picture you're seeing is from Sunday before I left for the airport because I had to get more before I left and was too drunk to remember to take a picture of what I was eating at the Fest itself but you get the idea...

Oh yah the beer selection at ACL was awesome, but being a true bro I just cranked Bud Lights all day. Not worth a pic right?

So anyway, after the festival which was capped with an epic set by Avicci,  we made our way back to Levines and promptly passed out.  I mean 9 hours of straight drinking, 5 of which in the beating sun wears you out fast.  P.S. Levine you totally suck at drinking now - really have lost your edge braaaah.

I'll be back with Saturday and Sunday re-cap tomorrow. In the mean time enjoy a little Avicci below; fast forward like 10-15 seconds to avoid some nasty reverb at the start if it kills ya ears ;)

Spelling Errors and Typo's

Just became aware that some, a few, maybe many of my posts are rife with spelling mistakes and typos.  I'll admit, I don't spell check - I type these as fast as I can and don't do much as far as double checking later.  If you do find any mistakes, hopefully they aren't to egregious and you can forgive them.  To be honest, a lot of these are written from my cell phone, and we all know how hard it is to be accurate when texting on these tiny little devices!

Anyway.......I'm really good at spelling in real life, I'm super serious.

Sushi and Patriots vs. Bronco's Tailgate

Two at a time today!
So first up today is some more Symphony Sushi awesomness.  Like I said I love this place, and it's 32.8 seconds away from my apartment.  Stopped over for a quick dinner (yes by myself) and slowly enjoyed some Lobster Maki and Spicy Tuna Roll at the Sushi Bar.  It was fantasgreat as usual.  This Lobster Maki was actually presented differently than the last time; I liked it more.  It was stacked up and DRENCHED in a spicy mayo sauce.  Really was a flavor explosion.  I hope they continue to do it like this.

Now here we have the Patriots game tailgate hosted by none other than Herrick and his fiance Dina.  They did an awesome job (Mostly Herrick) on the grille, and Dina provided us with an amazing Chile dip from Jersey.  Becca and I contributed Salsa, Guac, Dips, Burgers and some beers.  This was a top 3 tailgate for me though, we have everything you need to be successful  a Tent, TV, large table, nice big grille, booze, chicken wings, dogs Oreos and more.  People were jealous of our setup.  All in all it was a great time, and to top if off the Patriots won!

Cheers! Pumpkin Beer.

I actually went to the Sam Adams Beerfest a few weeks ago with my buddy Herrick and his fiance Dina but before we stopped in at Cheers (The REAL Cheers on Beacon) for some lunch.  For some reason I didn't take a picture of what I ate (A UNBELIEVABLE Hot-Dog with Chile and Cheese) most likely because it was so good I devoured it before I had a chance to snap a pic.

However, I did take a picture of the beer I ordered.  Pumpkin beer, with cinnamon around the top of the glass.  It was pretty fantastic  not 'gonna lie.  I really enjoyed the foam on the top too for some reason.  It mixed in with the cinnamon and actually tasted more like the creme foam you get with a latte or something.  Anyway, it was my first Pumpkin beer of the season, not the last of the day though, there was plenty more at the Beer Fest.

Prost!
